With the new realities of COVID-19, ulitmately affecting the operation of educational institutions nation wide, has left me in a considerably lucky position when considering the prospects of the continuation of my ceramic journey. Without access to the universities ceramic lab I am missing out on one-on-one opportunities with my professors to learn how to properly wedge, center, and throw. As well as the access too much larger kilns, which ultimately can effect how large my final products can get... and the endless amount of glazes. However, in my current position it feels like god (or maybe it's white privilege) has given me a string of lucky opportunities and DEALS that has lead me to being able to have somewhat of a fully operating multi media studio from home. In this case I feel that it is almost necessary to dedicate this strange time to my personal knowledge and growth as a ceramicist, painter, activist, educated and educator, musician, illustrator, communicator, lover, healer... all of these things that make up 'I'. and what 'I' can do to influence the world in a positive way. Shifting towards diverse change and equality. In this way, I would like to also start sharing the novels I'm currently reading or have just finished as they fluctuate through the changing seasons to maybe inspire more to join in on the beautiful world of literature.
