The continuing severity of the COVID-19 virus has once again made it ever more clear to me on how truly privileged I am in this life to have my health and to be exactly where I am. Even though the number of cases continue to rise, being within the walls of the redwood curtain feels so safe. I continue to do what I live on this earth to do, create. I am praying for our world, because sometimes thats all you can do. peace, love and blessings. In light of the recent 'pandemic' COVID-19, living in a place that considerably difficult to get to (while being protected by the redwood curtain) has never been so blissful. It's allowed me to truly focus on my artistic hobbies and 'socially distance' myself in very proactive and adventurous ways. Along with this however, I am fully realizing my great amount of privilege to be experiencing such sweetness from life when my peers around this earth are suffering from not only the virus but the panic that it's caused around our entire world. All I must say is that in this time we must support, pray for and love each other. That is the least we can do for our direct communities. About 4 months ago now, in the month of November, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life thus far. To fully take on finically and become the mother of another life. When scrolling the pets pages on craigslist one evening I came across a family rehoming a litter of kittens. Within this bunch of fluff I am cosmically paired with my now fur son, Willie Nelson Mandela. A 6 week old orange tabby boy with a 'W' marking right between his yellow tiger eyes. (Now about 6 months old!) If you can't already tell, I am in absolute love with this tiny creature that has entered my world. When we first got him I could literally fit his whole being in my two hands! Never have I ever had an animal that was that small. Truly such an eyeopening and beautiful experience to be responsible for such an innocent life. It's really amazing watching a tiny kitten grow into their paws. Willie is now going on about 6 months old and he is getting bigger and more adventurous every day! I feel that I will try to keep him an indoor cat for the most part even though that might be against the laws of nature. But, hey! Domesticated cats are technically invasive species, especially to local birds. And I take him out on regular adventure hikes so he's getting enough of a balance of exercise and cuddles.
Thank you to Taylor for being one of the most supportive musical homies out there & purchasing an I-rig2 for me. (The same device that musical artists like, Steve Lacy, use to record their albums!) It's kinda wild how easy and complex this musical journey has been for me, but I've decided to post a mere 2 songs I've created onto Soundcloud. I'm quite proud of myself.
